About

I started sewing seriously in 2003

after joining the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA). As expected, my first pieces were not the greatest. I learned from some of the best seamsters in the Canton of Axed Root (Ames, IA) and my skills grew quickly. After a few years, I joined the Theatre Tech Apprenticeship program through Metropolitan Community College in Omaha, NE, and was taught by the amazing and talented costume staff at the Omaha Community Playhouse. Upon completion of the program, which gave me a Certificate of completion and the rank of Journeyman Costumer, I enrolled in the Theatre program at University of Nebraska Omaha and learned corsetry, tailoring, and patterning from some very skilled teachers.

I started Raven’s Wing Clothing unofficially in about 2015, but made it official in the summer of 2018. Everyone deserves to have clothing that fits well and flatters their bodies, no matter what shape they are. Be it corsets, medieval/Renaissance garb, reenactment of any era, cosplay, or ritual wear, Raven’s Wing Clothing is here to help you fill your custom made needs.

Keep an eye out for leather items coming later this year!
